◎影片劇情： In the early 1920s, Georges Laffont (Romain Duris) was traumatized by the terrible trench war and decided to leave his own life to travel to the vast territory of Upper Volta in West Africa, accompanied by artist and World War I survivor Diofo. From one village to another, George utilized Diouf's talent as a farmer to recruit villagers to work on Ghana's plantations. But his adventure led him down a dead end, and he returned to Paris, where his war wounded brother Marcel (played by Gregory Gadbouis) lived with their mother. After the end of the European War, life would have been over without him. George will desperately search for his place with the help of sign language teacher H é l è ne (played by C é line Salette) and his family, and he will establish a chaotic relationship with them, whom he selfishly abandoned. He will ultimately try to heal their wounds, as well as his own.
